CRUMBLING CASTLES
Crumbling Castles was a commissioned submission to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s official bootlegger initiative.
The prolific Australian band made a call out for “bootlegged” versions of a number of their albums, providing their music and artistic assets to be freely used, transformed and re-imagined as their fans saw fit.
Crumbling Castles is a bespoke 10” vinyl pressing, borrowing from the album Polygondwanaland. Inspired by KGLW’s unique visuals, the album art gives plenty of nods to the motifs that pervade the band’s discography. The green and red colour scheme is reminiscent of the lo-fi digital colours of some of their music videos from the Polygondwanaland era.
